Accessibility

We want every calculator to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.

What is built in

• Every field has a visible label, and results are announced when they are ready.
• You can use the whole site with a keyboard. Menus open with Enter or Space and close with Escape.
• Text and controls meet AA colour contrast, and buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall.
• Pages work at different screen sizes and when you zoom the text. Animations respect your reduced-motion setting.
• Results can be printed in black and white on one page.

Known limits

The full list of payments in the amortization schedule is a long table. The yearly summary is shorter and easier to scan. We test with automated tools and by hand, but we cannot promise there are no problems.
